Interview Profile
Complete the shared interview profile, save required material, and finish optional preparation.
What is an interview profile?
Section titled “What is an interview profile?”AskCc currently gives each account one shared interview profile. It keeps the interview language, current resume, job description, custom instructions, knowledge selections, and skill profiles together for live interviews. Standalone and Project conversations all read and update this same profile; a Project only links a local folder.
When you switch roles or companies, update the shared profile and verify every section before starting. Starting an interview freezes the current profile into that session, so later edits do not rewrite earlier interview records.
What is the correct interview-profile setup order?
Section titled “What is the correct interview-profile setup order?”-
Describe the target and provide what you already have
From Home or the preparation chat, state the role, company, interview type, and date. Upload or paste a resume, JD, or project material. AskCc identifies what is present and what is missing.

Save the interview language, resume, and job description
These three items are the live-interview start gate. A chat attachment is only a reference file; verify that the correct version appears in the right-side preparation panel.

Request custom preparation work
Ask AskCc to tailor resume bullets to the JD, organize project deep dives, prepare an introduction, or audit missing material. Only confirm facts about contributions, metrics, and outcomes that are true.

Save or skip custom instructions
Custom instructions can control answer length, structure, tone, and prohibited claims, such as “under 30 seconds, conclusion first, never invent an uncertain metric.” The content is optional, but the full preparation flow expects you to save it or explicitly skip it.

Select or skip knowledge sources
Select one personal knowledge base and relevant official question banks, or skip them. Knowledge sources improve grounding but are not a hard start gate.

Prepare and confirm skill profiles
Upload or paste evidence from projects, work, research, or a portfolio. AskCc drafts reviewable project defense cards. Fill missing facts and confirm a profile before using it in a live interview.

Open the right-side Interview Entry and click Start Interview. The chat composer is not the start control.
What is required to start a live interview?
Section titled “What is required to start a live interview?”Only the interview language, resume, and job description are required. Custom instructions, personal knowledge bases, official question banks, and skill profiles are optional enhancements.
How can I prevent materials from different roles from mixing?
Section titled “How can I prevent materials from different roles from mixing?”Before every interview, check that the shared profile matches the current role. When you switch targets, replace the resume or JD as needed, review custom instructions and knowledge selections, and regenerate skill profiles when the resume or JD changes. Projects and conversations do not isolate profile material.
Do material changes affect an interview already in progress?
Section titled “Do material changes affect an interview already in progress?”No. A live interview uses the material confirmed when that session started. End the current session and start a new one to use updated material.
