Live Overlay
Choose Meeting app interview or Anti-screen-switch detection and operate transcript, answer, and shortcut panels.
What does the live overlay contain?
Section titled “What does the live overlay contain?”After the interview starts, AskCc shows an always-on-top overlay with:
- Transcript panel: interviewer transcript and optional microphone text;
- Answer panel: suggestions, manual input, With screenshot, and Auto answer;
- Shortcut panel: the active session shortcuts;
- Top toolbar: remaining time, content protection, and end-session controls.
How do I choose between Meeting app interview and Anti-screen-switch detection?

Use Meeting app interview for most video calls. The mode is selected before the session; end and restart to switch it.
How do I move, hide, or scroll the overlay?

These are defaults. Rebind them in Settings; changes apply to the next session. If preflight finds a conflict, rebind first or continue knowing that the conflicting shortcut will not work.
Will the overlay appear in screen sharing or recordings?
Section titled “Will the overlay appear in screen sharing or recordings?”Content protection is on by default and normally hides the overlay from screenshots, recordings, and screen sharing. Actual behavior depends on the operating system and capture app, so test with the meeting software you will use.
Turn content protection off only for demos or troubleshooting. The overlay may then appear in recordings or shared content.
