Live Interview Assistance

Start AskCc from Interview Entry and use auto answer, manual questions, and confirmed profile context.

AskCc can transcribe interviewer questions and suggest spoken answers using the current interview profile. Answers may use the saved resume, job description, custom instructions, selected knowledge sources, and confirmed skill profiles.

It provides suggestions. It does not verify candidate facts for you and cannot guarantee every transcript or answer is correct.

  1. Check the start gate

    The current interview profile must have an interview language, resume, and job description.

  2. Open the right-side Interview Entry

    Click Start Interview at the bottom. Typing “start interview” in chat does not start a session.

  3. Choose a mode

    Most video calls should use Meeting app interview. Browser interviews, online exams, or pages that monitor focus changes should use Anti-screen-switch detection.

  4. Pass the preflight check

    AskCc checks the microphone, screen capture, and system audio path. If it fails, open Audio & Permissions, fix the issue, and retry.

  5. Verify transcript and answer panels

    Play a short test line through the meeting app and confirm that the interviewer transcript updates before the real interview.

What is the difference between auto answer and manual answer?

Section titled “What is the difference between auto answer and manual answer?”

Auto answer is on by default and responds after a complete interviewer question is detected. Turn it off when you want manual control:

  • Ctrl+Alt+A: answer the latest question;
  • type and send: answer your typed question;
  • Ctrl+Alt+18: send the corresponding recent interviewer transcript;
  • Ctrl+Alt+S: answer the latest question with the current screen.

Shortcuts can be rebound in Settings and take effect in the next session.

Which interview-profile material can affect an answer?

Section titled “Which interview-profile material can affect an answer?”

The language, resume, and job description provide the base context. Custom instructions, knowledge sources, and skill profiles can affect an answer only when they are saved, selected, and relevant to the current question.

If evidence is missing, generic content should not be treated as your personal experience. Before speaking, quickly check the person, numbers, ownership, and outcome.

  • Save a length, structure, and tone in custom instructions, such as “under 30 seconds, conclusion first, then two supporting points.”
  • Before starting, verify that the shared interview profile matches the current role.
  • Turn project evidence into confirmed skill profiles.
  • Use a mock interview to calibrate length.
  • Treat suggestions as an outline and speak in your own words.

What if there is no answer or the answer is wrong?

Section titled “What if there is no answer or the answer is wrong?”
  • No transcript: check the system output, meeting-app output, and network.
  • Incorrect transcript: type the corrected question or choose a recent transcript manually.
  • Old question answered: turn off auto answer and trigger the latest question manually.
  • Screen-dependent question: use Ask with screenshot.
  • Incorrect personal fact: do not use it; correct the material or skill profile after the interview.
